End Times—must it be ALL Doom and Gloom?

Today the world is in chaos of wars, pandemic and threats of cyber takeover. What is anyone doing to fix it? Is there a fix? With nearly two and a half billion Christians in the world and 20 million Jews, one would think there might be an answer coming from the Judeo/Christian world as to how to repair it. Yet many of the Biblical prophecies paint a picture of doom and gloom for the end of the age. At least those are the prophecies that seem to dominate the religious world view (and I am speaking in terms of a biblically religious mindset). Both Jews and Christians in their fundamentalist majorities look for a messiah to come and fix things, either to take all the good people to Heaven or to create peace on earth.

Most Protestants believe the Pope will again take power and that it is inevitable that the “deadly wound will be healed.” They are just waiting for it to happen so Jesus can come. Friends, this does not have to happen, though it will if we just sit around and let it come to pass. It is true that the Pope is part of the World Elites, but if they are not righteous, they will fall…But perhaps they need a little help falling. My understanding is that the righteous are not to be removed from the earth. (Proverbs 10:30).

Unfortunately, the popular religious paradigms create the sense of fatalism that the religious world is drowning in. And partly for this reason, few look to themselves as possible powerhouses to stop the increasing wickedness and chaos around them. Let someone else do it. Or worse, wait for the Messiah to come and fix everything. Complacency and dependence on religious and political organizations and world leaders has opened the door to domination by the globalists and their agenda. Shall we go down on our knees and pray for the Messiah? Or shall we more successfully roll up our sleeves and start the movement ourselves? Is it indeed hopeless? We see activists threatened, imprisoned, tortured and we shudder. Would this impede the progress or deny the work of the prophets to turn things around from a scenario that truly models the 4 horses of the Apocalypse? What if we could make a difference and put the world back on track? Is it humanly possible at this point? And what do other prophecies actually say? And what is the Messianic Age all about anyway? Is there not a fore-running movement to the appearance of any messiah? Both Christians and Jews believe that Elijah comes before the Messiah, but who or what is Elijah? Could it be a movement? And could this movement be other than a religious movement?

There are some very interesting prophecies that have perhaps been overlooked that may show a different picture.

Isa 41:25: “I have raised up one from the north, and he shall come: from the rising of the sun shall he call upon my name: and he shall come upon princes as upon mortar, and as the potter treads clay.”

Isa 63:5: “And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me.”

Psa 91:7: “A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.”

Isa 43:2: When you pass through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when you walk through the fire, you shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

Prov. 10:30 “The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.”

Psa 37:22: “For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.”

Psa 37:28-29: “For the LORD loves judgment, and does not forsake his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.”

Psalm 125:1: “They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abides for ever.”

These are amazing promises, but what happens when we see the opposite happening, the righteous being forsaken and the wicked being set up, is this a time to rise in the strength promised us to fight the dragon at all costs? Where are the brave men like Caleb and Joshua? Where are the women like Deborah and Jael?

Are there any brave souls left or are we all lulled to sleep by the poison pills of pandemic and mass formation psychosis? Are we awake enough to avoid being woke?

The example of Sodom is before us. The escape of Lot before the fire fell is what will happen to the righteous if they do not wake up in time to take the rightful reins into their hands. Are we just waiting to be delivered or do we have an active job to do so that the world does not come to this point.

I hear people claiming that they are just waiting for the nuclear war to end it all. Waiting? I ask. Hmm. And so we will just all die and that will be the end, let someone else fight the wars, and if we die then I guess it was meant to happen. This fatalism is going to get us in trouble.

Where is the courage of Queen Esther who against the law of the King, went in before him uninvited to appeal the life of her people? Are we so rules bound that we cannot defy unlawful government regulations? Why do we let them make us destroy our own health by obeying their tyrannical laws of mask wearing and vaccines and this is only a start.

If ever there was a time to give kudos to righteous lawbreakers it is now. And I don’t mean robbers and murderers. I mean people who protest in the face of this tyranny.

Does the Bible promise that the righteous will be protected if they do nothing? I think if we follow that logic we are doomed to the same end-times doom and gloom. Who received praise from the Almighty? David, who bravely killed the giant, Jonathan who with his armour bearer routed the Philistines, Gideon who with a handful of men conquered the Midianites….That is only a beginning.

I want to see someone arise who is not “in it for the money,” nor the popularity. Someone righteous enough to stand for principle though the earth tremble under his/her feet. And I promise to join this person, if not with arms, at least with my words and encouragement.

¿Representamos el nombre que reclamamos?

En el mundo del judaísmo hay muchos estándares, algunos de los cuales son bíblicos, algunos de los cuales caen en el área de lo extra-bíblico y otros que caen en el área de un mundo de las modas, estirando los límites de la modestia. Surge la pregunta, cuando tratamos de establecer nuestros propios estándares, ¿cuál es el estándar bíblico para la vestimenta y el comportamiento? Seguramente uno no tiene que seguir los estándares rabínicos, pero cuando establecemos nuestros propios estándares, ¿a quién estamos modelando? ¿Qué es la base de la modestia? Diría que el estándar de vestimenta del judaísmo ortodoxo, aunque quizás un poco exagerado, especialmente cuando se trata de Payot (rizos laterales) y caros sombreros de pieles, aun esto, son mucho más modestos que lo que veo en el mundo caraíta. Si miramos el vestimento de los sacerdotes de Israel en los días del Tabernáculo en el desierto vemos que los sacerdotes debían tener las piernas cubiertas debajo de sus túnicas para que su desnudez no se revelara. Los hombres ortodoxos se cubren los brazos por debajo de los codos, nadie usa camisas sin mangas a menos que estén sobre otra camisa que cubra hasta los codos y muchos usan un pequeño talit con tzitzit colgando sobre sus pantalones que no muestra la línea del cinturón. ¿Es esto demasiado?

¿Y las mujeres? Aunque personalmente creo que el mundo no exige en nuestros días que una mujer casada se cubra el cabello, al mismo tiempo cuando uso una bufanda o un sombrero encuentro que recibo más respeto. Las faldas y los vestidos que cubren completamente las rodillas y los pantalones que se usan debajo de una falda o blusa larga que cubre las caderas son definitivamente más modestos que los jeans ceñidos comunes que se cortan hasta las caderas y muestran una buena cantidad de piel, junto con Blusas de cuello muy bajo que dejan poco a la imaginación.

Surge la pregunta: si seguimos las modas del día, ¿cómo hacemos diferencia del mundo como un pueblo distinto y santo? ¿Cómo hará que YHVH se sienta orgulloso de llamarnos Su pueblo? ¿No se avergonzará más bien de nosotros? ¿Por qué las mujeres sienten la necesidad de vestirse sin modestia para atraer a los hombres? ¿No es esto actuar como la mujer inmoral de Proverbios 7? He descubierto a lo largo de los años que la modestia es mucho más atractiva que las modas que revelan demasiado. El dicho “Menos es más” es claramente cierto cuando se aplica a la tendencia de vestir sin modestia. Cuanto menos enfatiza una persona su cuerpo, más atractiva parece. Hay algo acerca de las cosas ocultas que son más interesantes para los piadosos y, por lo tanto, se hace que el carácter brille notablemente donde antes ni siquiera se notaba. Es cierto que la buena reputación se ensucia con la apariencia inmoral.

Me alegro de haber seguido a los ortodoxos en esto durante varios años. Tal vez nosotras, como mujeres, no necesitemos usar faldas largas sobre pantalones, pero al menos deberíamos tratar de cubrir la línea de las caderas hacia abajo sobre los muslos para que se nos vea modestas. Es cierto que visten prendas de lino que son más frescas. Quizás si pensáramos en invertir en prendas de lino, podría ayudarnos a adaptarnos a un estilo de vida más modesto.

¿Y qué pasa con las cubiertas para la cabeza para los hombres? ¿No deberían los hombres intentar cubrirse la cabeza en la presencia del Todopoderoso? Es cierto que a los hombres no se les ordena usar kipá, por otro lado, ¿qué usaban los sacerdotes comunes en la cabeza y no estamos todos sirviendo como sacerdotes en nuestros propios hogares hoy? Dado que todavía no hay un sacerdocio levítico en funcionamiento, ¿no deben los hombres mostrar respeto a YHVH usando al menos una gorra de béisbol en la cabeza?

No sé mucho acerca de las opiniones de los caraítas, pero personalmente, cuando veo a un hombre que usa una kipá y tzitzit en público, me dice que este hombre judío en particular no se avergüenza de servir a su Creador. ¿Cómo nos distinguimos para que la gente sienta que somos diferentes?

¿Qué pasa con las camisetas sin mangas? ¿Qué pasa con la natación mixta con trajes de baño inmodestos? ¿No conduce esto a pensamientos inmorales?

Admito que he sido muy duro con algunas de las tradiciones del judaísmo, especialmente cuando se trata de la Cabalá y la adoración en las tumbas. Muchas tradiciones rabínicas son hechas por el hombre, o incluso provienen de raíces paganas, pero, como dice el dicho, no “echemos al bebé con el agua del baño”. Si nosotros, como seguidores literales de la Torá, no estamos viviendo de una manera que nos aparta como Kadosh (Santo o apartado), entonces tal vez merezcamos la crítica que el judaísmo tradicional nos ha hecho.

¡Que todos nos esforcemos por vivir de una manera aprobada por el Cielo para hacer del mundo un espacio mejor y más sagrado por haber estado aquí! No debemos permitir que otros observen que ayudamos e instigamos al mundo en su declive hacia la inmoralidad. Si tenemos una influencia santificadora en quienes nos rodean, ¡que el Creador sea glorificado a través de nuestro buen comportamiento! Después de todo, ¿por qué estamos en este mundo? ¿No estamos aquí para dar ejemplo y llamar a los que nos rodean a pensar en el Altísimo y en Su nombre apartado?

¿Puede Él estar orgulloso de nosotros cuando usamos Su nombre pero actuamos como el resto del mundo inmoral que nos rodea? Es hora de hacer un cambio. Seamos el cambio que queremos ver en quienes nos rodean. ¡Dejemos de predicar el Nombre YHVH hasta que comencemos a vivir una vida que Él apruebe! ¡Que Di-s nos ayude en este esfuerzo!

¿De que Consiste un Nombre?

Cuando era niña, la mayoría se consideraba que las películas de Disney tenían valores morales excepcionales. El nombre Disney significaba como un ícono que hablaba de entretenimiento sano para toda la familia. Pero, ¿y hoy? ¿Se puede contar con Disney para ayudar a mantener unida a la familia? Cuando todo el mundo liberal está promoviendo la confusión de género, pensaríamos que Disney podría ser un buen lugar para divertirse y entretenerse sanamente. ¡No es! ¿Qué pasó con su buen nombre y el icono? El nombre Disney no conservó nada de lo que significaba antes.

En la gran despedida de la iglesia católica durante los años 1500 y 1600 d. C., el nombre protestante significaba “el que protesta” y esta protesta estaba dirigida a la iglesia católica desde donde estas valientes personas finalmente habían ganado su lucha para servir a Dios como exigían sus conciencias. ¡Ya no es así! Si bien es cierto que las iglesias “cristianas” protestantes continúan manteniendo algunas de sus diferentes ideologías, sin embargo, sobre todo, ellos se llevan bien entre si, y los católicos o protestantes, o judíos liberales, pueden tomarse de la mano mientras van juntos a las mismas funciones sociales, tal-vez en un parque en cualquier festividad religiosa, ya sea Navidad o una búsqueda de huevos de Pascua. Me pregunté qué le había pasado a un pueblo judío santo y separado que nunca pensaría en perdonar a Amalek, Roma y al Hitler. Los nombres religiosos no significan nada más que una indicación de otra rama de la mezcolanza ecuménica o Justicia Social. ¡Donde todo vale mientras alguien se beneficie!

Parece que el fin del protestantismo llegó con el ecumenismo. ¿Qué es el ecumenismo?

“El ecumenismo… es el concepto y principio de que los cristianos que pertenecen a diferentes denominaciones cristianas deben trabajar juntos para desarrollar relaciones más estrechas entre sus iglesias y promover la unidad cristiana. El adjetivo ecuménico se aplica así a cualquier iniciativa ínter-confesional que fomente una mayor cooperación entre los cristianos y sus iglesias.”3 (Todo esto suena muy bien, ¡sí! ¡Todos mantengamos nuestras diferencias en silencio y sigamos para llevarnos bien! los secretos de cómo las iglesias protestantes renunciaron a su identificación individual a favor de llevarse bien con Roma y su nuevo enfoque de la religión). Y, por supuesto, no estoy hablando solo de protestantes aquí, las denominaciones judías liberales celebran servicios conjuntos con denominaciones cristianas. para ver si todos pueden llevarse bien. ¡Otra vez! ¿Qué pasó con un pueblo santo y distinto?

¿Y qué ha pasado con el mundo que la mayoría someten a llevar máscaras después del Covid? ¡Digo que tiene algo que ver con este factor de renunciar a la identidad individual para crear un mundo “seguro” y socialmente justo!

Una vez usé una ilustración en un sermón a un grupo de cristianos. Coloqué una botella grande de Seven-up (Una gaseosa clara) en la mesa frente a mí. Le pedí a la gente que me dijera cuál era el nombre de este refresco. Dijeron “Seven-up”. Les pregunté si estaban seguros. Luego procedí a verter un poco en un vaso y le pedí a un niño que se acercara y lo bebiera para estar seguro. ¡Era agua! Luego le pregunté a la congregación si esto todavía era Seven-up. ¡No! Dijeron en voz alta. ¿Entonces qué pasó? El nombre todavía estaba escrito sobre la botella, ¡pero el contenido había cambiado! Así sea la moraleja de la historia… ¿Qué hay en un nombre? ¿Puede un nombre garantizar el contenido de aquello que contiene el nombre? Claramente no.

De hecho YHVH en su Palabra dice algo al respecto. Él tiene un pueblo que es llamado por Su nombre. Él los llama a vivir a la altura de ese nombre.

Éxodo 20:7: No tomarás el nombre de YHVH tu Dios en vano; porque no dará por inocente YHVH al que tomare su nombre en vano.

Este versículo no se trata simplemente de blasfemar, se trata de mucho más. ¿Estamos viviendo de acuerdo con el Nombre que hemos tomado sobre nosotros mismos? ¿Representamos algo que el Todopoderoso puede estar orgulloso de incluir bajo Su nombre?

2 Crónicas 7:14: “Si se humillare mi pueblo, sobre el cual Mi nombre es invocado, y oraren, y buscaren Mi rostro, y se convirtieren de sus malos caminos; entonces oiré desde los cielos, y perdonaré sus pecados, y sanaré su tierra.”

Pero la triste historia nos cuenta lo que le sucedió al Israel rebelde y amante de los ídolos, solo unos años después del reino del norte de Israel, las 10 tribus comenzaron su adoración al sol y el sacrificio de niños a Molech. Dios les envió profetas pero se negaron a escuchar. Hicieron un pacto con las naciones. Finalmente los asirios los tomaron cautivos y desaparecieron de ser pueblo.

2 Reyes 17:18 “Por lo cual YHVH se enojó mucho contra Israel, y los quitó de su vista; no quedó ninguno sino la tribu de Judá sola.” (Todo el capítulo muestra la razón ya qué nivel habían caído).

Hay un pasaje en el Tanakh que habla de una clara advertencia acerca de no estar a la altura del Nombre que se nos ha dado.

Isa 65:15 Dejarás tu nombre como maldición a mis escogidos; Porque YHVH Elohim te matará,

y llamará a sus siervos por otro nombre;” Así que esto parece decir que un nombre puede perder su significado.

Al igual que la caída de Disney, las iglesias protestantes, el reino del norte llamado Israel y casi todas las organizaciones sobre la faz de la tierra, un nombre no significa nada si lo que significa cambia, ¡al igual que la tonta botella llena de agua de Seven-up!

Personalmente, elijo no estar bajo el nombre de ninguna organización, tomo la interpretación literal de la Torá y el Tanakh como mi guía, rechazo cualquier adición o eliminación hecha por eruditos o sabios, ni acepto interpretaciones externas de la Torá. Me niego a llamarme a mí mismo de otra manera que un simple judío.

What’s in a Name?

When I was a child, Disney movies were considered to have exceptional moral values. The name Disney became an icon that spoke of safe entertainment for the entire family. But what about today? Can Disney be counted on to help keep the family together? When the whole of the liberal world is promoting gender confusion we would think Disney might be a good place to go for healthy fun and entertainment. Not So! What happened to their good name and the icon? The name Disney did not preserve anything.

In the great leave-taking from the Catholic church during the 1500s and 1600s CE, the name Protestant meant “one who protests” and this protest was aimed at the Catholic Church from where these brave people had finally won their struggle to serve G-d as their consciences demanded. Not so anymore! While it is true that the Protestant “Christian” churches continue to hold some of their differing ideologies, for the most part, everybody gets along and Catholic or Protestant, or liberal Jew for that matter can all hold hands while they go together to the same functions in the park on whatever religious holiday, be it Christmas or an Easter Egg Hunt. Protestants are no longer protesting and the Catholic Church decided at Vatican II that they would change their approach to the world to be more inclusive and bring the churches back into the fold.1 Now they would be more accessible, teach the people in their own language, create new worship styles and the Protestant world said: Amen! As did many Jewish congregations. So what happened to the name Protestant?

I visited a packed Reconstructionist Jewish Temple in Eugene Oregon several years ago on a Friday evening. To my surprise they had asked two Catholic lesbians to give the night’s Dvar Torah (The Dvar Torah is supposed to be a talk on the week’s Torah portion and is usually done Shabbat morning but in that temple, most congregants do not attend Shabbat Services). Their slated talk was about Social Justice.2 I walked out.

I asked myself what has happened to a Holy and separate Jewish people who would never think of forgiving Amalek, and Rome, and Hitler? Religious names mean nothing more than an indication of another branch of Ecumenical mishmash. Or Social Justice. Anything goes as long as someone is benefiting!

It seems the end of Protestantism came with Ecumenism. What is Ecumenism?

“Ecumenism… is the concept and principle that Christians who belong to different Christian denominations should work together to develop closer relationships among their churches and promote Christian unity. The adjective ecumenical is thus applied to any interdenominational initiative that encourages greater cooperation between Christians and their churches.”3 (This all sounds well and good, yes! Let’s all keep our differences quiet and go along to get along! And under the carpet are the secrets of how the Protestant Churches gave up their individual identification in favor of getting along with Rome and it’s new approach to religion.) And of course, I am not speaking of just Protestants here, the liberal Jewish denominations hold joint services with Christian denominations to see if everybody can get along. Again! What happened to a holy and distinct people?

And what has happened to the go along to get along mask-wearing world? I say it has something to do with this factor of giving up individual identity to create a “safe,” socially just world!

I once used an illustration in a sermon to a group of Christians. I placed a large Seven-up bottle on the table in front of me. I asked the people to tell me what the name of this soft drink was. They said “Seven-up.” I asked them if they were sure? I then proceeded to pour out some of it into a glass and asked a child to come up and drink it to be sure. It was water! Then I asked the congregation if this was still Seven-up? No! They said loudly. So what happened? The name was still on the bottle, but the contents had changed! So the moral to the story is….. What is in a name? Can a name guarantee the contents of that which holds the name? Clearly not.

In fact YHVH in his Word says something about this. He has a people who are called by His name. He calls them to live up to that name.

Exodus 20:7: Thou shalt not take the name of YHVH thy God in vain; for YHVH will not hold him guiltless that takes his name in vain.

This verse is not about simply blaspheming, it is about much more. Are we living up to the Name that we have taken upon ourselves. Do we represent something the Almighty can be proud to include under His name?

2 Chronicles 7:14: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

But the sad history tells us what happened to rebellious, idol-loving Israel, just a few years after the Northern kingdom of Israel, the 10 tribes began their sun worship and child sacrifice to Molech. G-d sent them prophets but they refused to listen. They made a covenant with the nations. Finally the Assyrians took them captive and they disappeared from being a people.

2 Kings 17:18 “Therefore YHVH was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of Judah only.” (The entire chapter shows the reason and to what level they had fallen).

There is a passage in the Tanakh that speaks a clear warning about not living up to the Name that is given to us.

Isa 65:15 “You shall leave your name as a curse to My chosen; For YHVH Elohim will slay you,
And call His servants by another name;” So this seems to say that a name can lose it’s significance.

Just like the downfall of Disney, the Protestant Churches, the Northern Kingdom called Israel, and almost every organization on the face of the earth, A name means nothing if what it signifies changes, just like the silly Seven-up bottle filled with water!

I personally choose to not stand under the name of any organization, I take the literal interpretation of the Torah and Tanakh as my guide, rejecting any additions or deletions made by scholars or sages, nor do I accept outside interpretations of the Torah. I refuse to call myself anything other than a Jew.

The Failed Messiah

Did he really make God known to the world? No!
Where then is the kindness and virtue of his sacrifice?
Where is the great power of his blood, and his death?

Note: It should be noted that it is written in the Torah that YHVH does NOT accept human sacrifices. It says so in Deuteronomy 18:10 – Jeremiah 7:31 – Leviticus 18:21 – Leviticus 20:2. Jesus, Yeshu, Yashuah or whatever you want to call him, he died in vain for humanity. WHAT DID JESUS CHRIST ACHIEVE WITH HIS SUPPOSED SACRIFICE of himself? Nothing!
